FDA: Organic moringa products sold on Amazon, Walmart, TikTok Shop, Target sites recalled

(Photo Credit | FDA) Two organic moringa products sold nationwide through Amazon, Walmart, Target, TikTok Shop and the manufacturer’s website have been recalled because of possible Salmonella contamination, according to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration . Total Nutrition Inc., of Deer Park, New York, is voluntarily recalling TNVitamins 100% Organic Moringa 1,200 mg Capsules and TNVitamins 100% Organic Moringa Powder following a supplier-initiated recall of the raw organic moringa ingredient. No illnesses have been reported. According to the FDA, Salmonella can cause serious and sometimes fatal infections in young children, older adults and people with weakened immune systems. Healthy people infected with the bacteria often experience fever, diarrhea, nausea, vomiting and abdominal pain. In rare cases, the infection can spread into the bloodstream and cause more serious illnesses. The recalled products were distributed nationwide through Amazon, Walmart, Target, TikTok Shop and the company’s website. The recalled products include: TNVitamins 100% Organic Moringa 1,200 mg Capsules, 1,200 mg Product No.: AB9917 Lot No.: 2800 Expiration: February 2028 TNVitamins 100% Organic Moringa Powder Product No.: AB9904 Lot No.: 2782 Expiration: May 2028 The company said the lot numbers can be found on the bottom of the bottle and near the barcode on the label. Products with different lot numbers are not affected by the recall. Consumers are urged to stop using the recalled products immediately and dispose of them. They should not consume, sell or distribute the affected items. “We apologize for the inconvenience and concern this recall may cause to our customers.
