LinkedIn users can now call out 'AI slop' – will it work? - AFR

On Friday, the professional networking site started allowing them to flag “low-effort, likely AI-generated content that may sound polished on the surface but lacks a clear point of view, unique perspective, or substance” using a “seems like AI slop” button. The option came days after subscription newsletter platform Substack introduced a tool to detect AI writing, as social media companies grapple with growing frustration about the omnipresence of AI posts on their platforms.
