S&S becomes exclusive US distributor for certain Adidas apparel

S&S is now the exclusive U.S. distributor for Adidas team apparel, the former announced in early July.

It said the exclusive status marks “a significant milestone in its longstanding partnership” with Adidas. Customers now have exclusive access to a broader assortment of apparel across teamwear, corporate apparel and gifting, according to S&S.

S&S described itself as a “tech-forward leader in branded merchandise distribution.” It said it helps customers grow through a combination of products, technology, services and business solutions. S&S was founded in 1988 and is headquartered in Bolingbrook, Illinois.

Adidas is No. 19 in the Europe Database. The market research tool ranks the largest online retailers in that region by their annual ecommerce sales and more.

S&S and Adidas go exclusive in US after more than 10 years of collaboration

Adidas and S&S have collaborated for more than a decade, according to the distributor. S&S expects the expanded agreement to create “new opportunities across team programs, team stores and school athletics.”

Kelly Whitley, vice president of team sales at S&S, called the expanded agreement “exciting.” Consumers can shop the expanded Adidas team apparel now at ssactivewear.com, according to the S&S announcement.

“Our goal is to be the destination for adidas for all of our valued customers,” Whitley said in a statement. “By combining a broader assortment with the dependable inventory and reliability S&S is known for, we’re making it easier than ever for customers to grow with a brand they already know and trust.”

S&S noted that Adidas designed its team apparel collection specifically for schools, athletic programs and team organizations.

“Expanding access to premium brands is central to our long-term commitment to customer growth,” said Nick Blannin, senior vice president of product at S&S, in a statement. “As customer demand for premium brands continues to grow, we’ll keep investing in the products, capabilities and partnerships that help our customers differentiate themselves and win in the markets they serve.”
