Temu has expanded its intellectual property (IP) protection programme with the International AntiCounterfeiting Coalition (IACC) to help member brands escalate complex cases and identify potential infringements before they are reported. The voluntary IACC-Temu Program allows member brands to escalate pending or rejected notices and request further reviews through the IACC Global Portal. They can also submit keywords and images to help Temu identify potentially infringing listings. Participating brands will receive direct access to Temu’s IP experts, with responses to escalated cases within 48 hours. The programme also includes quarterly check-in calls, feedback on submissions and periodic status reports. "Early results from our joint program have been positive for our member brands, demonstrating the immense value of collaboration between all stakeholders in addressing IP challenges,” IACC President Bob Barchiesi said. He said a meeting between Temu Co-Founder Dada Sun and the IACC team helped strengthen their relationship and led to the programme’s launch. Temu joined the IACC as a general member earlier this year. The group’s IP protection framework includes seller vetting, pre-listing screening and 24/7 post-listing monitoring. According to Temu’s 2026 Intellectual Property Protection Report, the platform proactively removed 331 potentially infringing listings before they were reported for every listing removed following a complaint. Its proactive monitoring database covers more than 15,000 brands, about three times the previous year’s coverage, using more than 47 million images and 9.5 million keywords. Information submitted through the IACC-Temu Program will also support this monitoring.
