Tractor Supply will appear in the Instacart Marketplace, offering fulfillment for U.S. shoppers in as little as one hour, the companies announced.

The partnership makes more than 2,400 of Tractor Supply’s locations available to shoppers using the Instacart Marketplace. Consumers can use the Instacart app or website to shop from the retailer’s stores.

Tractor Supply joins more than 2,200 national and local retail banners on the marketplace, according to Instacart. Recently, Instacart also announced it is now the exclusive fulfillment partner for Aldi U.S. across the retailer’s website and app.

Both Lush Cosmetics and 1-800-Flowers.com joined Instacart, offering same-day delivery ahead of Valentine’s Day. Costco also took its Instacart partnership to Europe, starting with France and Spain.

Instacart, DoorDash and Uber Eats each have been making pushes to add retailers to their respective marketplaces, offering last-mile delivery services.

Tractor Supply is No. 83 in the Top 2000 Database. The market research tool tracks North America’s largest online retailers by their annual ecommerce sales and more.

Tractor Supply is also No. 225 in Digital Commerce 360’s all-new AI Rankings. That set of rankings is available in the Top 1000 Pro with AI Database.

Why Tractor Supply joined the Instacart Marketplace

“We’re committed to making living the Life Out Here lifestyle easier and more convenient,” said Matthew Rubin, senior vice president and president of digital and ecommerce at Tractor Supply Company, in the announcement. “Our partnership with Instacart provides customers with another seamless way to shop Tractor Supply, combining the products they trust with the speed and convenience of Instacart delivery. This partnership also introduces Tractor Supply to millions of Instacart users as a dependable supplier of the products they need to care for their pets, animals and land.”

Instacart said customers can now shop Tractor Supply’s full assortment. That includes pet food and suppliers, livestock feed, farm and ranch products, garden essentials, and tools.

Instacart said the retailer serves an important role in the U.S. It cited the retailer’s stores often being miles away from the nearest urban center. Furthermore, Instacart said it’s helping “bridge the last-mile gap” for rural consumers who shop at the retailer for everyday essentials.

Instacart said the partnership reflects its commitment to expanding same-day delivery “beyond urban areas and into rural communities that Tractor Supply calls home.”

Blake Wallace, vice president of retail partnerships at Instacart, said the company is “excited to bring Tractor Supply’s trusted assortment” to its marketplace.

“Tractor Supply is a beloved brand with a broad reach that serves customers in communities of all kinds, and with Instacart, those customers can get what they need delivered to their door in as fast as an hour,” Wallace said in the announcement.
